Jeriq – Different Wave Ft. Tuff King

Nigerian Indigenous rapper Jeriq steps into a fresh chapter with “Different Wave,” a hard-hitting collaboration featuring Tuff King. The highly anticipated record officially arrived on September 16, 2026, following a strong build-up fueled by teasers and snippets shared ahead of its release.

Built around Jeriq’s distinctive Igbo trap delivery, “Different Wave” carries a gritty hip-hop sound with drill-inspired touches. Jeriq delivers confident verses with sharp, street-minded lines, while Tuff King joins the chorus to strengthen the song’s central message of ambition, persistence, and self-belief.

The record also draws inspiration from an underground recording titled “Riddim of the Wave,” which Jeriq revealed served as part of the creative foundation behind the new track. The idea is transformed into a more refined production that gives both artists room to express their individual styles.

Throughout the song, Jeriq reflects on chasing bigger goals, breaking away from limitations and continuing the hustle despite difficult moments. His references to financial growth and divine guidance add another layer to the record, while the repeated “different wave” theme reinforces the idea of choosing a path outside the ordinary.

With its strong delivery, focused message and solid collaboration between Jeriq and Tuff King, “Different Wave” arrives as another notable addition to Jeriq’s 2026 catalogue, giving listeners a fresh taste of his evolving Indigenous hip-hop sound.
