On May 22nd, 2024, Mdundo.com, Africa’s leading digital music platform, organized a glittering event at the Nairobi Street Kitchen in Westlands to honour the accomplishments of its artists and brand partners. The occasion, dubbed the “Mdundo Mixer,” brought together prominent figures from the music industry and major brands for an evening of celebration and recognition.

The Mdundo Artist Awards recognized the exceptional contributions of Kenyan musicians to the industry. Among the honorees were Wakadinali (Most Downloaded Male Artist of the Year), Nadia Mukami (Most Downloaded Female Artist of the Year), Vijana Barubaru (Highest Growing Artist), Sweetstar (Most Downloaded Hyperlocal Artist), and Jacob Ayoo (Best Creative Content).

In addition to the artist accolades, the Mdundo Mixer celebrated brands that excelled in various campaign categories. Coca-Cola Kenya was awarded the Best-Performing Brand Lift Campaign, while Tusker Kenya received recognition for the Best Beer Category Progressive Campaign. Kenya Cane took home the Best-Performing Brand Lift Campaign on Awareness award, and NCBA Bank Kenya was honoured for the Best-Performing Thematic Campaign with the #NCBATwendeMbele initiative. Chrome Kenya won the award for the Best-Performing Spirits Category.

Major brands such as Absa, Cooperative Bank, NCBA, and Tusker Kenya graced the event, underscoring its significance and the strong support from the business community. The atmosphere at the Nairobi Street Kitchen was electric, filled with music, celebration, and a spirit of recognition.
